Mr. Wu practices commercial litigation with a focus on complex contract and business disputes in high technology, finance, real estate and related industries. He works on various intra-business disputes involving business governance, breach of contract, management and control and fiduciary duty claims. Mr. Wu has experience handling all forms of discovery and drafting motions and pleadings for trial in state and federal court. He also assists family law professionals in resolving business-related matters and has experience handling foreign law issues for cross-border contract disputes.
Mr. Wu earned his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2018. He graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2014 with a B.S. in Biology. During law school, Mr. Wu received training from the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA), was the Senior Managing Editor of the Hastings Law Journal and competed in moot court. He was the National Runner-up for the Cardozo/BMI Copyright Law Competition and won several top brief and oral advocacy awards for UC Hastings’ Annual Moot Court Competition.
Prior to joining Valle Makoff, Mr. Wu was an extern to the Honorable John K. Stewart in the San Francisco Superior Court, as well as to the Honorable Maria-Elena James in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. He was also a summer law clerk at the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection where he assisted with ongoing investigations concerning fraudulent advertising and unfair business practices.
