
For nearly 25 years, Stacy Horth-Neubert has been responsible for the management and oversight of all phases of a broad range of commercial litigation matters in federal, state, and bankruptcy courts, including multi-district litigation and class actions, as well as administrative appeals and domestic and international arbitration, with a particular focus on high-stakes matters of critical importance to the client’s business. She has represented clients in the hospitality, travel, automotive, design, fashion, and entertainment industries, including many e-commerce businesses, and has experience with state and local regulation, unfair business practices and false advertising, and commercial contract disputes.
Ms. Horth-Neubert joined Valle Makoff in July 2023 from Sidley Austin LLP in Los Angeles, where she worked for more than four years. Before Sidley, Ms. Horth-Neubert spent 19 years at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Los Angeles. She began her career at Proskauer Rose LLP in New York City.
Ms. Horth-Neubert has been recognized as one of the “Most Influential Women Attorneys” by the Los Angeles Business Journal, and as one of the “Top Women Lawyers in California” by the Los Angeles Daily Journal.
Ms. Horth-Neubert is dedicated to public service and pro bono legal work. In addition to maintaining an active pro bono practice representing clients in cases regarding police practices, immigration rights, civil and educational rights, state and federal open records laws, and federal and state benefits, Ms. Horth-Neubert served for nearly 20 years as a manager of the pro bono programs at Sidley and Skadden. For her pro bono work, Ms. Horth-Neubert has been named a winner of the California Lawyer Attorneys of the Year Awards by California Lawyer magazine, and has received the ACLU of Southern California Pro Bono Advocacy Award and its Freedom of Information Award. She serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the ACLU SoCal Foundation, and as a Co-Chair of the Access to Justice/Public Interest Law Committee of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles. Ms. Horth-Neubert also is a Past President of both WLALA and the WLALA Foundation. She also has served as Co-Chair of the Women in Law Empowerment Forum, Southern California, and as a member of the LACBA-WLALA Joint Task Force on Retention and Promotion of Women.
Ms. Horth-Neubert graduated Order of the Coif from Fordham University School of Law, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications-News. Ms. Horth-Neubert is admitted to the State Bars of California and New York.
