Court Sanctions Fox Broadcasting Company and the owners of American Idol
Valle & Associates recently won a significant victory in its ongoing case against Fox Broadcasting Company and the owners of American Idol on behalf of Adam Pick, who developed a series of website ideas for the American Idol website. The Defendants removed the lawsuit to federal court, claiming that it was preempted by the Copyright Act. The federal court recently issued a decision totally rejecting the Defendants arguments, sending the case back to state court, and imposing sanctions of $16,000 against them.
